The jet black body, illuminated with rich golden zari, creates a strikingly regal contrast. Elegant Golani buta motifs are woven across the body, while the richly detailed pallu narrates a memorable episode from the Ramayana—the story of Maricha, who transformed himself into the enchanting golden deer to distract Sita. Drawn by its extraordinary beauty, Sita asked Rama to capture it, setting in motion one of the most pivotal events in the epic. The intricate Heeran (deer) motifs on the pallu pay tribute to this iconic moment through the traditional artistry of Swarnachari weaving.
